Tuesday Thoughts v7

I’m very aware that the Tuesday Thoughts thread on our blog is easily becoming the Adrian Update of the week. 🙂 He’s crawling, and how! Teething too, and has a third bottom tooth on the way. And pretty much every thing he does is adorable. He was waking up just as I was heading to bed last night so I took him downstairs for a snack. He ate a good sized bottle and burped, and curled up on my shoulder before he fell back asleep. I was humming the Cradle Song and he was humming along a little. And after a chorus of lullaby humming he was back to sleep in my arms. Melts me every time.

A week ago we began the Trash the Dress project that would be our theme for Art Beat. This was unquestionably the biggest shoot and project we’ve taken on in such short time. Usually our location portrait shoots are 2-3 hours long and have a gallery together online within a few days. This time it was 2 days of shooting and overnight proofing and emails to get 20×30 prints ready and on display at Art Beat. What a whirlwind it was, but such a great support team came together during the shoot. Unknown to us at the start of the shoot, it would also be one of the most amazing stories we would help to tell. (More to come soon, promise!)

Fall is definitely here. We’ve had to fire up the furnace overnight the last two nights, and it’s been nice and cool outside today. I love to cool crisp days of fall. Last year we had such a warm October that it wasn’t until the end of the month and early November that leaves fully changed, and Thanksgiving was a mini-blizzard within hours. Hooray Indiana weather! I’m looking forward to more exciting football matchups even if I have to catch highlights or hear the results from wedding reception guests while we’re out shooting Saturdays. 😀

Ah fall… I can almost smell a pot of chili cooking and some warm apple cider waiting.
