Meet Your Photographers
What began in a friendship developed to a romance, turned to engagement and brought us to a wedding day of our own in August 2006.
We began photographing couples together in 2004 and saw our shared artistic passion bloom into a partnership that was built in years of friendship, challenges us when we are behind the cameras, and inspires us to share with each couple the joy of seeing their countless memories over and over again.
In the Spring of 2010 we celebrated our 6th year photographing Wedding Day Stories together!
I've carried a camera around for over 2 decades now. Yikes time flies.
In high school I enjoyed sports and found them most enjoyable from the sidelines with a camera in hand. I worked with the yearbook program at a small school and most of the photography was self-taught. When I wasn't out composing photos I was usually reading about it. In those years I went through rolls of film almost as fast as I read through the books at the downtown library.
Out of high school I put my imagination and creative skills to the test and hit the road. While working with humanitarian relief organizations, orphanages and missionaries abroad, my travels have taken me through over 20 countries in Northern Europe, Central America and Southeast Asia. The greatest souvenirs from those places? My photographs. They tell the story like nothing else.
Upon returning home from travels I jumped back into photography studies and instant practice combined with 6 years of freelance with local studios and organizations, has advanced not only our photographic techniques and skills but also the creative edge we put into our photography and album designs.
Did I mention I'm just a little bit geeky?
Sara sees art in the everyday. Her keen eye for creative photos is surpassed only by a welcoming personality. Her non-invasive approach allows our brides to prepare and share moments with bridesmaids and family uninterrupted and unscripted.

Sara also enjoys international travel, and has backpacked around Europe, traveled via overland trucks from South Africa north along the African coast to Kenya, and home again to Indiana. It was a conversation about her first international trip that introduced us and looking through travel photos together that reintroduced us six years later when our romance began.
Sara graduated in 2006 from Bethel College, Indiana, with her Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts, Communication Major.
Love and Marraige
In late August 2006, after 9 years of friendship and over 3 years of a budding love story, we celebrated a wedding of our own in the northern Indiana countryside. We exchanged vows alongside an old brick country schoolhouse, now an artist friend's home. Sara made an incredible bride and I felt like the most blessed guy in the whole world. It was an unforgettably wonderful day.
Planning our own wedding and married life together has given us a first-hand feel for what couples who come to us for their wedding photography are going through. It is an immense honor to us when we are asked to tell a couple's wedding day story.

After a year and a half of marriage we also became parents. In February 2008 we welcomed our bright-eyed baby boy Adrian to our family. November 2009 we his little sister Madeline joined us - just 6 hours after our last photo assignment for the year.
