Coming soon! Baby Bu!
Besides celebrating the best holiday in the world this past week we hit another mile marker reminding us just how soon our Baby Bu arrives – less than a month to go! The day after Christmas marked the start of our final month of pregnancy.
Sara’s been doing great, looking incredible, and is counting down the 3 1/2 weeks till we welcome our son to our family. We will soon get to grab those wiggly toes that have been kicking around so much inside her tummy and see the baby face that will be irresistible to kiss and cuddle. Plus there’s all the funny and cute little outfits that we’ve bought, been given, or that somehow crawled in a window and into the closet while I wasn’t looking – they’re everywhere! (I wish my clothes would sneak themselves into the dresser and closet, that’d be great!)
Before Christmas was here I bought the best Christmas music album out there… the Vince Guaraldi Trio playing the soundtrack to A Charlie Brown Christmas. You’ll instantly know the songs when you hear them. Classics. Suddenly I remembered sitting at home and watching the annual favorite on TV for the first time. I remembered singing “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” in a school play and remembering the Peanuts gang singing it for their play.
I remembered… Christmas joy in perfection. It nearly made me wish our Baby Bu could be out here with us for this Christmas. Sara would love that too now that he’s sprouting quickly in the home stretch. He’ll be 11 months next Christmas and we’ll seem like we’ve been raising babies for years by then, but let’s not skip ahead too fast.
In case you haven’t heard it from me or my Mrs B, here’s some goodies about Baby Bu
We found out Memorial Day weekend right after our nine-month anniversary that in another 9 months we’d be parents!
We’re naming him Adrian Robert. Adrian cause we liked it right away and Robert is a name found many places on both sides of our families. Sara’s dad is a Robert, as is my middle name, named for my shutterbug Grandpa.
I first saw him on the ultrasound in August 7th when he started to tell us he’s a boy before we could let the nurse know we wanted to find out.
Not camera shy… though it might sound bad for embarrassing kid photos when he’s older, I think it’s a necessity being born to two photographers.
I first felt him moving and kicking October 2nd after we moved into our new apartment. Now he’s kickboxing.
Lastly, I have an incredible wife. Our baby is already spoiled to have such an amazing, loving mom.
