back in black

After waking up before my 8:00 alarm, cleaning up and finding my classic black garb, I’m headed out for this year’s first wedding shoot. I look forward to being called wedding Paparazzi, Johnny Cash, a priest, maybe even photo ninja. To a very small group of photo nerds, this is my Zone System outfit – varying shades of black / dark gray. It works for me. Lucky you I’m not posting a photo of me in my getup. Lucky me I’m not driving the route to Chicago, lucky me we stop for (more) coffee and snacks before we hit the road.

Sara and Adrian are still napping, half a cup of coffee has disapppeared, and birds are chirping outside. Yes, chirping. Maybe to remind me it’s a new day full of new creative opportunities. Maybe just to stave off hypothermia. Probably both.
