Bonnie Doon Diner Date

While I worked on photo stuff Sara made some tasty pirogies with Mama Bu for the Bucholtz Polish Easter weekend. (Yes, our last name is German, but Grandma’s maiden name and is Polish, and so we’re Polish. We admit to it, just go with it.) Dad’s side of the family – the admittedly Polish side – will be getting together for food, fun, family and to show off the kids. We have the newest addition to the family and my sis Ali is the most newlywed of the bunch. It’s sure to be fun.

After the pirogi parade was over, Mama Bu offered to watch Adrian so Sara and I had a break for a coffee or whatever. I immediately suggested Bonnie Doon’s diner / ice cream, a diner that’s been around for decades and makes its own ice cream. It’s not famous for steakburgers but it’s a local business with tasty burgers, fries and desserts.

It’s good to take time or make time for these little moments together having fun.
