Tonight Sara and I watched Kitchen Nightmares to see a struggling family restaurant half a million dollars in debt turn around and gain a very sucessful start. The failing business was putting a lot of stress on the chef Anthony and his girlfriend’s parents who went into business to open the palce. He’d been putting off marrying his girl, too, due to the pressure and debt.
So anyway, enter British chef and TV crew, restaurant makes its own mozzarella cheese and specialty dishes, everyone’s thrilled so…
Chef Gordon gives Anthony a ring to propose to his girlfriend in front of the packed restaurant, including food critics from Bon Appetit magazine. Everyone’s thrilled, teary and Gordon drops another surprise: he’s arranged for them to get married THAT NIGHT. And the couple looked stellar.
