Thankful Monday
Saying it was a busy week last week would be an understatement! Family and friends have been enormous blessings to us as they rearranged their own schedules to help watch Adrian while Sara and I went to the hospital for Madeline’s birth 3 days ahead of her scheduled delivery.
I had breakfast with my dad before he was off to work and am relaxed at my folks’ house waiting for Adrian to wake up. We had the traditional Bucholtz breakfast special – fried eggs, bacon, toast, orange juice and coffee to give any diner a run for its money.
I love quiet foggy mornings with a good breakfast and lots of ambition for a productive day ahead.
Last night Sara and I looked through photos from Adrian’s birth to see just how similar our babies looked. Brother and sister were both born at the same length and only 2 ounces apart in weight, and lots of family said they thought our newborns looked quite alike.
Today I’m especially thankful for two healthy children and for Sara’s quick recoveries after each’s birth. I can’t wait to introduce Adrian and Madeline later tonight or tomorrow when Sara and sis are released from recovery to come home!
