What’s in a name? (web presence)

eB Photography .com logo

The name game Disclaimer, I enjoy photography and enough web design to throw my site together. I'm far from an expert at either. Late the other night I was checking web stats and got an idea. That led me to just flat out Google "eb photography" to see what happens when someone searches for my page instead of just typing ebphotography.com like →

Gone till December

It just hit me this week and we now have 4 days left till our daughter Madeline's birth! With weekend events to photograph and mix, lots of final touches to the house, early Thanksgiving dinner (yay!), and scheduled c-section with hospital recovery in the coming week I wanted to put a notice out early to let everybody know I might be →

Gallery Debut – Rescheduled to March 7th

We've rescheduled the Gallery Debut to Saturday, March 7th to make way for an even easier time for our out of town guests and friends to join us! It's been over 20 years in the making. Ever since 1988 when Eric picked up a 110 camera and wandered the neighborhood with camera in hand he's been snapping photos ever since. Unknown →

Track the pack

I am a geek. This is not news. Years back I set up shipping accounts for shipping all kinds of goodies in eBay auctions. I worked in shipping and receiving for a while before being shipped out to live on a ship. I like logistics. One of the sites that makes keeping track of our album orders, customer orders, eBay goodies and →

It was the closest restaurant to school and we always took a bunch of eggrolls back to class. :) One photographer replied that the buffet is her favorite Chinese →

Ultimate Wedding Planner

Tonight Sara and I watched Kitchen Nightmares to see a struggling family restaurant half a million dollars in debt turn around and gain a very sucessful start. The failing business was putting a lot of stress on the chef Anthony and his girlfriend's parents who went into business to open the palce. He'd been putting off marrying his girl, too, →

The Mac Switch – 2 Years Later

MacBook Pro Core Duo 15" non-unibody

September marks the switch to Macs we made in 2006. I was not a fan of Macs in college. Most of the Macs in the computer labs were G4 towers with Zip Drives and not a lot of zest stacked against quite new and speedy 2003/2004 HP Windows machines. However, when I began working with a local photographer in 2004 →

I don’t know how but they found me

Who? The LIBYANS! Well, search engine placement telemarketers anyhow. Not as scary as a VW of armed radicals chasing me through a mall parking lot, but annoying nonetheless. RUN MARTY! I just got a call from some guy at a call center offering to put my site on Google's top 10. I told him the truth - we're booked busy with →
