Thankful Thoughts – Weekend Style

Busy week around here. Counting down a very busy November of my daughter's birth, lots of events, concerts and holidays ahead! I'm thankful for friends. Friday night the guys from the Underground Cafe ran production for one of our favorite returning bands, Haste the Day. Always a blast to have them in town! Some of the best crew to hang out →
Gallery Debut a smash hit!
Wow. That was a rush! After the last few weeks finalizing prints, framing, preparing and all around brainstorming at high speed, it all came down to one great night of celebration with friends last Saturday! Highlights of the night - and all were simply amazing: We have the coolest friends and clients out there. Sara said it best that each of you have →
Tuesday Thoughts – 2009
Precaffeinated ramblings for old times' sake. I haven't written a Tuesday Thoughts post since last year, and long ago since November at that. Since Election Day there's been a flurry of things happening etting ready for the wintry holidays Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and post-holiday decompression. For anyone who hasn't seen him in person so far this year, Adrian is walking. He's →
Three Travelers – Thursday Thoughts
Tuesday I shared conversations with three good friends all hitting the road via different vehicles and heading all different directions. While all three know each other, they were probably unaware of each others' travel plans and stories, at least till it sparked in dinner on the deck The only traveler of the three not currently in Indiana is packing up in →
Half an hour after our last of 3 shoots…
Double rainbow, contrasty sky, dramatic low sunlight beaming under a dark storm front. So what do I do? Send out the Nokia "camera" phone after 3 days on the Notre Dame campus with over 3,000 snaps from 3 Nikon digital SLRs and 7 fine lenses. No DSLR in reach, just a "camera phone" from the Starbucks patio. Such a snapshot →
All the people you’ll meet
We're waiting on AT&T to deliver our DSL modem and haven't had an interweb connection at home for a week or so since we moved out of the Hills. Before you scold me for DSL. please consider a donation to the cable internet bill payment fund. I've had cable internet, and paid for it, and am content to head to →
Katrina & Charley – a few more photos
I had to add a couple of instant favorites from Katrina & Charley's wedding last weekend. There's nothing better than celebrating with friends, old ones and all the new ones we just made! Katrina in the mirror - a new favorite by Sara Charley - what a guy. Just waiting to see his bride minutes before the ceremony... Katrina's smile said it all. →
Congrats Katrina & Charley!
There's nothing like celebrating a wedding with long time friends! Last weekend we trucked up to Lansing, Michigan to celebrate with one of my longest-time friends Charley and his bride Katrina. I've known all the groomsmen and ushers at least 7 years if not longer, most closer to 20 years already. (And at a mere 28, that says LONG time →
Happy Anniversary Kristin & Nate!
Nothing like a stroll down memory lane! Today marks the 3 years' celebration that began in 2005 at Kristin & Nate's wedding. I've known Nate since somewhere around first grade and Kristin since Jr High. I just ran into Nate last weekend hanging out with the guys getting ready for another of our graduating class' May weddings. Congrats you guys!

One lovely eve with the Ugly Mugs
Some GREAT music tonight from Jess Strantz, Elliot Evans, Oh Donahue, and Etna Green. I met some photographer, visual and musical artist friends there for a nice time relaxing and NOT running a show like last weekend's show at the Underground Cafe. It's a nice perspective and a huge relaxation when it's well mixed and illuminated and my event ADHD →
