Melissa & Jim’s Bridal Party Dance – Video!

wedding party choreographed group dance medley

Thanks everybody for the flood of requests for reminders to see the wedding photos! While I'm working on the edits... In my 8 years of wedding photography I've never before personally seen a bride and groom put together such a dance routine mix, and even more to have the entire bridal party - a pregnant bridesmaid, the bubble girl and everyone →

Music Monday Wedding Remixes

It's wedding season! Two wedding weekends in a row and I've already got the Saturday night playlists stuck in my head. These videos make the weekend mix of reception music crack me up while I'm shooting. Love the Polaroid camera closing snap sound! Don't make me sing this part of the song, the lyrics are so bad we're going to skip ahead to the "single →

And I thought my family’s Christmas was…

a little crazy! Mr Bean's Nativity recreation comes close to how I think the Christmas story would have been recorded if my friends and I told the story in a toy shop. Merry Christmas, friends! (if the video doesn't show in a feed check out the original post on http://ebphotography.com/blog)

Happy Christmas (music!)

Just in time for the holiday weekend and my personal preferred date to start hearing Christmas music (if it hasn't snowed yet) - "O Holy Night" by Seven Day Jesus. Their encore song from February 1, 1998. The song was recorded for the Happy Christmas compilations, my favorite Christmas songs ever. Live performance has a bit of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" →

Zack Arias sums it up in video

"Johnny 5, now you are hitting the nail right between the eyes." Wow. I caught this video following Zack Arias' blog. For those of you outside the photography world, this week is the WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) convention in Vegas. Yes, warm Vegas. Shiny, warm, not Indiana Vegas where rock star photographers show you shiny new books, cameras, software and →

If roadies ran the world

This one's for all my tech production friends. You know who you are. Judah, Mark, Phil, Alex, JP, Adam, the Jesses, Aaron, Dustin, and the whole late night cleanup crew... you guys rock. You make the Underground happen and make it a happening place. It's been way too long since the last Underground Cafe show, time to fire it up →

Adrian says “Daddy”

I can't even describe how proud of him I am. The kid's got skills. "Daddy" saying skills, walking skills, and ninja skills. Making his parents crack up skills, too, for that matter. We're celebrating his 1st birthday this weekend. It has been an amazing year seeing him grow from sleepy baby to wiggly walker learning new words and new fun skills. We →

Winter Weather in Song Format

Here's a glimpse at Indiana weather today, in song format. Ig2NtHY2g9k The arctic is no respecter of fashion. Ice, snow, nowhere to go. Be safe out there.

The Olymipc Games

Were never meant to look like this. Flashback from Summer 2000 kids camp and a comedy sketch gone terribly wrong. Hopefully things in Beijing will have fewer polar bears, too.

Tuesday thoughts and twisters v.2

Last night I got to test out our "Emergency Storm Warning / Evacuation / Baby visits Grandparents plan" when we had word of severe storms and 75-100mph winds as well as tornado warnings heading straight for us. We don't have a basement here should a tornado appear, and Adrian loves visiting Grandma and Grandpa. (They have cable, too!) Aside from →

Fight for Kisses

LuSBCIV1zuQ FIGHT FOR KISSES - if my son Adrian and I were "fighting for kisses" he'd be winning by a long shot - I hate shaving. But he does have really soft skin and for the first couple of weeks home I felt like he was making faces at me for getting (almost) all Sara's attention. Today I played Mr. Mom →

Monday Jumpstart – Animals Explain Art

Perfect start to the (creative) work week. What's art to you?
