Home For the Holidays – Family Portraits and Sibling Rivalry
The holidays are simply magical. Friends gather, family comes to town, all bringing smiles and fond remembrances of yesteryear.
Christmastime and winter break was a pretty fantastic time of year when I was a kid. It had all the sparkle and wonder of a cheery Hallmark movie dipped in school glue and rolled in every canister of glitter within reach at the craft table. I recall Continue reading “Home For the Holidays – Family Portraits and Sibling Rivalry”
Happy New Year & Christmas Too (Snow Day Catch Up)
We finally got our White Christmas weather in northern Indiana… a week or so late! Since it was more of a muddy and gray Christmas here we burned off some cabin fever energy and let the kids get into Christmas PJs for some photos that matched the magical snowy weather outside. (Neither were too picky that it was early January either.)

We hope you had a Merry Christmas and a great start to 2012!

Tyler & Dakota’s Winter Engagement Session
I wrapped up December and 2010 with two wintry engagement sessions before Christmas and 2011 arrived. Started the year’s finale with Tyler & Dakota on a bitter cold morning downtown. 9:00 am sounds like a good start until Indiana winter decides to blast you with icy wind! We ducked inside nearby buildings between gusts of wind for a mix of indoor and outdoor wintry engagement portraits.
The snow’s back in Indiana in full force today, stay toasty! Drop me a line to set up your own engagement or portrait shoot!
Christmastime is coming
Adrian’s friendly reminder that Christmas is 3 weeks away!
(Now where’s our snow for sledding and snowmen!?)
First Christmas
If you keep an eye on my FaceBook page, the biz FaceBook page or our business’ Myspace page you’ve already seen these favorite photos from Christmas Day. (Feel free to add us!)
Here’s a handful of favorites from our family’s first Christmas with Adrian. He loved playing with the boxes and paper more than most of the things that were inside the gifts. Who said joy has to be anything complicated, expensive, or obligated? This kid has it down plain and simple.

One of the coolest ideas for a first Christmas ornament I’ve ever seen. My sis Genna knew a painter at the local Farmer’s Market and used a photo my mom took from a phone and made the coolest baby ornament I’ve seen!
I posted the original photo in the Deedle Beetle post last month, and have to say I much prefer the sledding version for the ornament. 😀
Happy New Year this week!
