I couldn’t pick just one favorite from this sequence of snaps from Jami & Nick’s Silver Beach engagement session so… it’s a triple-decker post for a rainy Wednesday.

Nick and Jami share their joy and excitement and joyness of taking all sorts of cutest couple engagement portraits!
I managed a few standard cliche posed normal usual expected nice photos too. Instead of being so cliche it hurt, we laughed until it hurt. Often. And for that I thank you!
Many more photos ahead. Congrats, Soonlyweds!

Space hair, don’t care. Anakin’s gauntlet… duck face?
The newlyweds find your lack of Vadering portraits disturbing.
Bridesmaids (the humans, and possibly a rip off the movie poster poses too)
The Groomsmen Breakfast Club
Nary a Star Wars Day is complete without light sabers!
BONUS: photobomber Phil makes all the ladies swoon derp.
As one of my favorite months begins, so does the countdown to International Star Wars Day, May 4th. To kick things off, here’s a handful of my favorite details from Kelli & Phil’s very memorable wedding day.
Enjoy, and May the Fourth be with you! -eB
The bride’s R2D2 back tattoo
Handmade stationery bouquet, wedding rings with a braided handfasting ceremony cord.
And what’s a Star Wars day celebration without some small, hard to understand, colorful characters stealing a few scenes? Yoda & Wicket joined in as ring bearer and flower Ewok. Too cute, they were.
The ladies wore shoes adorned in decoupage of comics, superheroes, My Little Pony to go with Kelli’s pair of Star Trek Comicon.
Bonus – Kelli showing off her bridal R2D2 nail art
Kelli’s May the Fourth SciFi rich wedding day accessories featured personalized shoes with a phasers set to awesome. Decoupaged Comicon program clippings from the Phil’s proposal, The Starship Enterprise, Spock and Kirk, R2D2 blue toenail polish… the works.
More snow in the air as February winds down warrants another warm weather favorite photo gets dredged from the archives! Today’s post comes from Spring 2005 as the newlyweds shared a moment alone on the country club green in Bridgman, Michigan.
Free photo tip – waiting around for family and bridal party members to arrive for group portraits is not time wasted waiting on great photo opportunities… if you keep your eyes out for these kinds of moments. This photo came together between the bride and groom’s portraits alone and waiting on the rest of the gang to meet up for outdoor portraits. No posing ideas, directing, or forcing a smile needed!
Keep toasty & keep your eyes open for great photo moments! -eB
Adams High School spring prom portraits in Battell Park, Mishawaka along the river walk. Seniors and Prom Court representatives celebrating the end of the school year. Congrats class of 2013!
Disclaimer: slightly biased, highly proud godfather posting.
Near the end of April I joined my niece Marissa and her prom date / cohort in theatrical crime Quin for portraits before Mishawaka High School’s prom night.
You two looked very snazzy, glad to join you for a silly, fun & rarely serious shoot before your fun night! -eB
Devious didn’t take any convincing or surprise anyone given Marissa’s theatrical repertoire.

Spring is in full swing and gusting through Michiana as March is all but gone. Here’s a flashback from Emily’s windy outdoor Senior Portrait Session last April around Beutter Park and Battell Park in Mishawaka, Indiana.
Emily planned a mix of heels to barefoot, jeans to sundress to skirt outfits for her sunny and windy afternoon outdoor shoot. I’m glad to have my subjects involved in the session and I love it when they throw out an idea and I get to make it happen for them. Especially if she was going to walk out on a submerged walkway in cold water or scale a slanted concrete outcropping in heels!
Here are my personal favorites from the shoot. – Enjoy!

Holy smokes, what a celebration with Melissa and Jim earlier Saturday night! If you haven’t seen youtube videos of the bridal party thriller dance, JK wedding entrance (or The Office reenacting it) just STOP right now.
They all just got served.
Melissa, Jim, and their bridal party just stepped it up a notch in the choreographed bridal party group dance department tonight. The newlyweds and the bride’s brother not only choreographed the dance moves for a crazy good dance routine… they mixed the dance tracks too. Snap! Clips from Ice Ice Baby, Hammer Time, The Hustle, N*Sync, Michael Jackson – especially Thriller – New Kids on the Block, Justin Timberlake and more than I can even remember right now… all sliced, diced, and remixed into a huge hit on the dance floor.
Enjoy a couple of favorites from the bridal party dance – tons more from the wedding day coming soon! (And a link as soon as someone’s got a video is online!)

Congrats newlyweds! You and your dance crew, er, bridal party tore it up!
