Sick Daze: Proof of Life - January style

Mid-month mutiny

Or "Cough, cough, fizz-fizz, who can tell what day it is?"

Sometimes your body has to sit you right down for a sick day to get you to slow down. This week was that sometimes. Getting over 12" of snow overnight to start the week was a warm up act nobody at our house asked to see again, then the coughs and yuck moved in.

This guy is feeling better, and we're thankful for the extra snuggles for our furry friends on these snowy cold days.

This disco ball is hanging by a thread. Sick days made me believe that planet earth truns slowly (finally).

The kids have stayed home for snow days and sick days and helped take care of the homestead. I'm blessed they enjoy playing in the snow and are happy to get out and shovel the unending drifts!

Morning light is a welcome sight and sleeping in is a holiday of its own.

The furry friends have been spoilt by all the extra attention and snuggles this week. (We all have!)

Thankful for a home full of love to make a sink full of dishes (and for teens who are in charge of dishes after meals).

Day is done. We're still here and taking it easy. Rest up and be well. - EB
